Sample of scam letters - and how to read them

All my comments will be in red. The scam letter sample that is below will be in black.
 

I want to go through this scam letter below with you to show you what to look for when you get them. What you keep your eyes on, so you are not deceived in believing them.
Below you will notice the subject line. How many people tell you to contact their secretary in their subject line, especially a stranger?
Note: the Email on this letter below ends with 'br', (which stands for Brazil). 
Yahoo has a isting of where their emails are located at by the last two initials when you see them: For instance "cn" is China, "it" is Italy,  jp Japan etc.

THIS IS THE SCAM LETTER TO SHOW YOU A SAMPLE:

Hello my good friend.How are you today? Hope all is well with you and your family. You may not
understand why this mail came to you. But if you do not remember me, you might have
receive an email from me in the past regarding a multi-million-dollar business
proposal which we never concluded. I am using this opportunity to inform you that
this multi-million-dollar business has been concluded with the assistance of
another partner from Paraguay who financed the transaction to a logical conclusion.

Note from Missteecat: In the paragraph above, please note the following:
anytime you see the words business proposals you know it is a fraud letter. Also
when they speak of amounts of money, any amount, it's fraud.  No matter what they say,
in the back of your mind remember to spot this in a letter and avoid and delete it
right away.
 
The letter continues......
I thank you for your great effort to our unfinished transfer of fund into your
account due to one reason or the other best known to you. But I want to inform you
that I have successfully transferred the fund out of my bank to my new partner's
account in Paraguay that was capable of assisting me in this great venture. Due to
your effort, sincerity, courage and trust worthiness you shown during the course of
the transaction. I want to compensate you and show my gratitude to you with the sum
of US$900.000.00. I have left a certified international bank draft for you worth of
USD$900,000.00 cashable anywhere in the world.

Note from Missteecat: The above paragraph:
Anytime you see transfer of funds, you know it's a scam letter. Not that this letter
was addressed in Brazil and talking about Paraguay, but then later below you will see
an address with cn at the end of it. cn stands for china. And another thing on their
notice of money amount, it's in US dollar amounts. Now why would they put US dollar
amount, if theyare in Paraguay? See how they deceive you?

My dear friend I will like you to contact my secretary with Pastor Frank, on his
direct email address at:[pastor_frank2008@yahoo.cn]for collection of your bank
draft. I authorized him to release the Bank Draft to you whenever you ask him for
it. At the moment, I'm very busy here because of the investment projects, which I,
and the new partner are having at hand. Please I will like you to accept this token
with good faith as this is from the bottom of my heart,


Note from Missteecat: Any letter talking about banks, money, lotteries, asking for your personal information,
bank account numbers or anything such as this, never respond and delete the mail because it's a scam!


Also comply with Pastor Frank s directives so that he will send the draft to you
without any delay.CONTACT: Pastor Frank. Email address:pastor_frank2008@yahoo.cn,You
are required to furnish him with the below information to enable him deliver the
cheque to you,
